Currently we work with three payment methods that can be chosen by the client at his/her convenience.

  • Credit or Debit Card: Through a 100% secure payment platform that we will provided directly through a personalized link. This method has a surcharge of 2.9% on the value to be paid, which will be assumed by the client, except by prior agreement. The payment is made through WeTravel, a platform specialized in collecting payments for foreign travel agencies, whose data policy and financial information is found at this following link.

  • Checking account through the same WeTravel platform. This operation has no additional cost for the client. This means that the charges will be assumed by VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans.

  • International Wire Transfer. In this case, we will send you the bank details and ask you to send us proof of transfer, which will not be fully confirmed until funds are received locally. Normally, this can take 3 to 7 days until fully completed.

After the trip and its conditions have been agreed upon, we will send a contract outlining the commitments of VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans.

In order to reserve your space, we ask for a down payment of 120$, to reserve the space immediately (this only works for shared trips with fixed dates), which will also be deducted from the total debt. After 50% of fare must be paid in advance in the following week. The remaining 50% will be due up to 45 days before the travel date unless otherwise stipulated in the contract. Note: If the trip is in less than 3 months, the down payment must be directly 50% of the agreed value.

For private trips, we ask for a 50% deposit and the rest, 45 days before the starting date.

  1. Cancelation by the client

If the client has to cancel his/her trip, the refund policy will depend on the time in advance of notification regarding the date of the trip:

      • With more than 45 days before the start of the trip: 30% of the quota separation deposit made will be withheld.
      • Up to 30 days before the beginning of the trip: 70% of the quota separation deposit made will be withheld, which corresponds to coordination expenses already incurred.
      • With less than 29 days before the trip: VIVA ANDINA will not give place to a refund.

NOTES

(*) Refunds will not consider the cost of international air transport if it has been contracted directly with us.

(**) Refunds will not include bank charges or commissions derived from the transfers made. These commissions and bank charges will be assumed by the client.

(***) We recommend acquiring travel insurance that includes assistance, cancellation and trip interruption, loss of luggage, theft, and repatriation.

2. Cancellation by VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans

Cancellations by VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans will only be due to force majeure that may affect the safety and/or enjoyment of our travelers. If this is the case, all cancelled services will be refunded, except for exceptions that are beyond our control (e.g., a sudden border closure). It will be communicated immediately and no compensation will be paid.

If you have not contracted a cancellation insurance or flexible rate for the international ticket, VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans will not be considered responsible and will not intervene in the reimbursement of the same.

  • The client may request changes to travel dates as long as they have notified 45 days or more in advance. This modification is independent of the costs of plane tickets that the client may incur.
  • If the trip is modified due to an interruption of air traffic or for weather reasons; or an interruption of land traffic, VIVA ANDINA will not be held responsible for these last-minute external causes. The resulting costs must be covered by the customer.

VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans is not responsible for lost or stolen luggage that occurred on flights or hotels. The responsibility will be the client’s. We strongly recommend our passengers to purchase travel insurance that includes coverage for lost or stolen luggage.

The purchase of an insurance is external to VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans. We invite clients to acquire comprehensive travel insurance that includes repatriation expenses and medical care, so that it can cover any mishap resulting from external situations.

Some of the circuits we offer have a certain level of physical difficulty, and therefore, we recommend consulting a doctor beforehand. If there is any health condition that may affect the health and safety of the passenger, the latter has the obligation to notify them in advance to assist them -if applicable- and provide the necessary facilities.

Before their trip, each passenger will receive prior useful information that will allow them to prepare for the chosen trip. This brief will include information about the destination, local customs, weather, recommended clothing, currency, among others.

VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans is committed to the care and health’s protection of its travelers. On each trip that is organized, the sanitary measures required by law and the restrictions in force in each country are taken into account, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of clients. Similarly, we invite passengers to take out travel and health insurance that includes coverage in case of COVID-19.

Also, we demand the execution of the measures with our local suppliers, in order to guarantee a comfortable and safe trip for the people who contract the services.

We follow the indications of the Health Protocole for Travel Agencies issued by the local Tourism entity, MINCETUR.

To access more information, we strongly recommend reviewing the information pages for each country.

VIVA ANDINA | Travel Artisans reaffirms its ethical commitment to respect and protect the Human Rights of children and adolescents in terms of preventing the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in tourism, within the framework of the National Policy of Compulsory Compliance with Protection of Children and Adolescents.

In this sense, we encourage safe practices that ensure their absolute protection and, in the same way, we demand our suppliers to adhere to this policy before making commercial agreements.
