This splendid route, specially created for adventurers and mountain lovers, aims to take you to explore one of the most beautiful landscape treasures in the world under a stunning blue sky: The Cordillera Huayhuash.
This natural wonder, still little explored, is located in the middle of an ecosystem full of wild beauty, huge snow capped mountains and turquoise lagoons. During the first days you’ll be exploring Lima, Huaraz, and the Andes, and after that, you will have 9 days to be fully immersed in this marvelous trek adventure.

We’ll meet you at the airport, and take the transfer to our hotel. During the first two days there is an excursion around the historical and colonial center of Lima, jewel of the Viceroyalty. There we will visit the Plaza San Martín, the Cathedral of Lima, the Torre Tagle Palace, and a couple of houses of Hispanic origin such as the Osambela house. The route continues through the churches of La Merced, San Pedro, and San Francisco. During the day we’ll have other excursions covering the Miraflores and Barranco neighborhoods, which includes a gastronomic experience.
On the night of day 2, you’ll take a transportation which will take you to Huaraz at night. During these days you will get to know the city, its streets and neighborhoods, as well as the visit to the popular market and the ruins of Wilcahuain. In addition, we’ll start our preparation for the trek in which you’ll have some medium to high altitude excursions around different parts of the Huascarán National Park, such as the Churup lagoon, the Llanganuco lagoon, the 69 and the Wilcacocha.
We will visit this glacier of great splendor, which has easy access and is located at the southern end of the Cordillera Blanca. On our way, we will pass through the towns of Recuay and Catac, and you will be able to spot the famous Puya Raimondi nearby, cave paintings and fossil remains from millions of years ago.
On day 7 we’ll start our adventure. We will travel by private vehicle to the first camp of the trek, the Cuartelhuaín / Llamac hamlet, where we will prepare everything necessary to start the trek. The next day, the trek begins, which covers a total of approximately 120 km, with an average of 6 hours per day. Throughout this fantastic walk you will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of this magnificent scenario in between the mountains, full of ravines, brilliant turquoise glacial lagoons at the foot of the snow-capped mountains Siulá (6,340m) and Yerupaja (6,630m).
After finishing our trek on day 15, full of memories and anecdotes, we leave this haven of peace and return to Huaraz to celebrate the end of the adventure with a farewell dinner.
This is a day to rest after the adventure and to take time to relax in the surroundings of the city. Optionally, you can opt for visits to the Callejón de Huaylas and surrounding towns, such as Caraz, or Yungay. At night, it is time to take the bus to go back to Lima.
After arriving in Lima, we’ll program the transfer to the airport. And for those who have acquired additional services, logistics will be scheduled based on them.
The return takes place at night by bus in 160° bed-seats. But, before heading back to Lima, you will have the whole day to enjoy Huaraz and/or to take complementary activities. Once in Lima, you’ll have your logistics arranged to get you to the airport.

NOTES ON HIGH ALTITUDE
The altitude of this trekking exceeds 4,800 meters above sea level in some areas due to the geography of the region. That is why the previous acclimatization to heights is essential. This adaptation period takes place in the surrounding areas of Huaraz and the Huascaran National Park from day 3 to day 6.

Bienvenida en el aeropuerto, y traslado al hotel. Durante los dos primeros días se realiza una excursión por el emblemático centro histórico y colonial de Lima, joya del virreinato. En este visitaremos la plaza San Martín, La Catedral de Lima, el Palacio Torre Tagle, las casonas de origen hispano como la casa Osambela. La ruta continua por las iglesias de la Merced, San Pedro, y San Francisco. Otras excursiones recorren el barrio de Miraflores y el de Barranco, e incluyen experiencias gastronómicas.
Se viaja a Huaraz por la noche. Durante estos tres días se conoce la ciudad, calles y barrios, que cuentan con hermosas vistas a las montañas. Se visita el mercado popular y las ruinas de Wilcahuain.
Además, a modo de aclimatación y preparación para el trek, se realizan caminatas en altura por del Parque Nacional Huascarán: la laguna Llanganuco, la Laguna 69, la laguna Wilcacocha y Churup.
Visitaremos este glaciar de gran esplendor, que tiene un fácil acceso y está ubicado al extremo sur de la Cordillera Blanca.
En el camino, pasaremos por los pueblos de Recuay y Catac, y se podrá descubrir la famosa Puya Raimondi, pinturas rupestres y restos fósiles de hace millones de años.
Durante este día nos trasladaremos en vehículo privado hasta el primer campamento del trek, el caserío de Cuartelhuaín / Llamac, donde alistaremos todo lo necesario para iniciar el recorrido.
Al día siguiente, inicia el trek, el cual recorre un total aproximado de 120km de camino durante 9 días, con una media de 6 horas por jornada. Durante toda esta fantástica caminata podrás disfrutar de la belleza natural de este regalo paisajístico en las montañas, llena de quebradas, lagunas glaciares turquesa brillante a los pies de los nevados Siulá (6,340m) y Yerupaja (6,630m).
Satisfechos con el viaje realizado, llenos de recuerdos y anécdotas en nuestras cabezas, dejamos este remanso de paz y retornamos a Huaraz, para celebrar el fin de la aventura con una cena de despedida.
Día para descansar el cuerpo luego de la aventura y relajarse en los alrededores de la ciudad. De modo opcional se puede optar por visitas por el callejón de Huaylas y pueblos aledaños.
Se programa el retorno en vehículo privado desde Huaraz al aeropuerto internacional del Callao (8h).
Para quienes hayan contratado otros servicios adicionales, se programará la logística en función de los mismos.

PRECISIÓN SOBRE LA ALTURA
La altura en este trekking supera los 4,800 msnm en algunas zonas debido a la geografía de la región. Por ello, el periodo previo de aclimatación es indispensable, el cual se realiza en los alrededores de Huaraz.
